Not afraid to wear his musical influences on his sleeve, voix in the dark delivers a new minimal electropop track entitled “Dark Disco”. The song is inarguably inspired by English synth-poppers Ladytron. There are also hints of Glass Candy, Portland’s Italo disco darlings, on the track. “Dark Disco” has an arpeggiated bass synth that casually bounces along with a simple percussion rhythm, making it easy to bop along to. Lyrically, the song tells listeners to let down their hair and take their worries to the dance floor.

From a shadowy tower in Shanghai, China, Poison the Vicar delivers a deeper, darker twist of “Dark Disco”. From the very beginning, the remix slowly swells and creates a tense electronic atmosphere. Then the build-up unleashes an acid electro fury upon listeners ears. With the final act, Poison’s electronic intensity continues, adding a chilling lead synth riff to balance out the chaos at the dark disco.
