But, Death is the debut single by voix in the dark, an electronic music project of Philadelphia artist DeShawn Timothy. The title track leads with an old school electro bass kick that weaves in-and-out of a murky synth riff. The vocal sample selections tell a story of cloudy uncertainty and a deep desire for death.

The second song “Plague” is a dance track pulsating with a four-to-floor techno punch and blazing with metallic percussions, while a rigorous bassline adds a memorable element. More so, the vocal samples scream of oppression, fighting back through anger with self-preservation.
